New Start Update

Long time no post, and I should be and will be posting more often.

For the last two months, I've been getting adjusted to new surroundings, new environments, new working environment, just plain new stuff. So for those who don't know, I've been employed as a full time animator at Visual Concepts/ 2kSport in Marin county. very new and different because I moved to Novato, which is kind of a small town 20 mile from San Fransisco. Small family community in a very hot and hilly place, definitely new from Seattle.

I'll be honest and it has been pretty rough for me, coming from a bigger city right out of college and move to a new place, leaving behind my family, friends, and usual surrounding. For the first few weeks, and still a bit am, I've been homesick.

But I've been adjusting well to my new surroundings, I am grateful that the company gave me a chance and position to work with some talented, knowledgeable, and experienced people, who are extremely friendly and helpful. I am put under a great lead who is very patience, smart, and humorous; and I get started on a project that enable me to get my feet wet, and slowly picks up so I am not thrown into a major project that is close to shipping date.

In the end, this is a major learning experience for me. Technical, personal, and education. I have so much to learn and will continue to work my way up to constantly improve myself and my artistic passion.

Everyday will be a struggle, but need to obtain the best of it, and learn from it, and how to improve it. Major journey is ahead of me, this is just the start. I'll try to update more as time goes on, and update more artwork aswell.

Beside hiking and wondering the streets, I need some thing to look forward to after work, thinking of doing art everyday, 2d animation project, which my awesome boss got a light table for me because my light box broke at home, and the hundred of animation papers, thanks again Roy! and just do drawing cartoons, caricatures, and portraits. Art is my passion, and I have lost sight of it for a bit after I graduated, but now i need to refocus. Here's a portrait I did for pastime after work. Enjoy, untill next time. Peace out
